NOLLYWOOD ACTRESS MERCY JOHNSON OKOJIE BANNED BY MOVIE MARKETERS FOR BEING TOO EXPENSIVE

 

Sources disclosed that Nollywood Actress Mercy johnson Okojie has been banned by the Nollywood Movie Marketers Association for her being too expensive. Also, members of the association said that in addition to Mercy Johnson forming the habit of disappearing while on location after she has been paid for the job, she was also giving them difficult conditions in term of fees.
Although, the ban placed on the actress will not take effect immediately, as the actress has already signed to do quite a number of movies till the end of the year. Which means the ban might take effect from January 2014.
     Mercy, as it stands seems to be the highest paid actress in Nollywood, she charges between N1.8m to N2m to feature in a film, while the others such as Ini Edo and Funke Akindele charges between 700k to N1.2m.
      This is not the first time the movie marketers association will be placing a ban on actors. They did this a few years ago when quite a number of Nollywood actors including Genevieve Nnaji, Ramsey Noah, RMD, Emeka Ike, Jim Iyke and others were blacklisted.
