Bestselling Author Thomas Leo Clancy, born April 12, 1947
died Tuesday night after a brief illness, the New York Times reports. He died
in John Hopkins hospital in Baltimore, US.
Author of several
military thrillers, Clancy wrote several books that were adapted for Hollywood movies
which include the hunt for Red October, Patriot games, Clear and present
danger, and the sum of all fears. In all, Clancy wrote a total of 28 books, one
of which was scheduled to be released later this year.
