The Tinsel star who was the 2011 recipient of the Most Outstanding Actor Model in the Nigeria Model Achievers Awards, has often appeared in some TV commercials, and in billboards.
The Tinsel star who was born in Maidugri, but hails from Kogi state grew up in Benue state. He wanted to study Medicine in Unijos, but ended up enrolling for a Remmedial programme in Benue state university, where he eventually studied Education (Biology). Along the line, the Mr Campus Pageant came up, where he entered and won the contest in 2003, and that was how he began his modelling career. On how he ventured into acting, the Tinsel star said his agent invited him for a TV commercial for MNET. He never knew it was an audition for the soap opera Tinsel. When he went for the audition, he was given a script to read, and was also told to act. He still didn't know untill three weeks later when he was called and that's how he started acting. Today, he ie thankful to God because people think he is doing a good job as Soji Bankole. The Tinsel star said he likes Boli (Roasted plantain) so much that he can even stop on the street to buy one, and also prefers riding his own power bike instead of the average okada. When asked on how he copes with the ladies, the Tinsel star who has more female fans than male fans replied "Girls are wonderful people. I love hanging-out around them. I actually believe women are spiritual. I try my best to be with them although there are boundaries. You know some of girls do crazy things, honestly, I wouldn't let them" When prompted on what he means by crazy, he narrated his last experience during a recent fashion show trip in Port harcourt "We finished the show and I think I was trying to change backstage. I had taken off my clothes, so this girl ran to me, and within a twinkle of an eye, she held my thing, my thing ( pointing to his trouser). I told her don't touch it. She said "OK, kiss me, if you don't kiss me, I won't leave it. Kiss me, kiss me", she screamed adding "If you don't kiss me I won't leave it". I felt like chickening out, but that was the only thing I could do. I begged and begged.. When asked if anyone was there, he said; "Yes people were there looking at me. I started begging. You know me, if it's too much for me, I'll beg you. I told her I was sorry. I begged and begged her. People were just starring at us" At the long run, he promised coming back for the girl after the party, so she could leave his thing alone. And it worked. Hmmmmm........some girls eh!
