USHER BEING SUED FOR ALLEGEDLY STEALING HIT SONG FROM CONFESSION ALBUM 'CAUGHT UP'

Three men who claim they wrote a song called "Caught Up" back in 2002
are accusing Usher of lifting their work.

Their song is about a man lost in love. Usher recorded a song two
years later called "Caught Up," which is also about a man lost in
love. It blew up the charts and was featured on his album,
"Confessions."
The guys - Zacharia Edwards, Mitch Moses and Vince McClean - claim
they played it for an exec at Arista Records - Usher's label - and the
guy then played it for LA Reid. The men never heard from the label
again, but a couple of years later they heard the song on the radio.
They're suing for unspecified damages.

My question now is, why didn't the three men speak up since 2002 when
the song was released, why bringing it up in 2013, eleven years later?
